ENJOYING AN ELEVATED POSITION WITHIN LOVELY SCENIC VILLAGE This terraced former miner s cottage set in the village of Wanlockhead nestles within the Lowther Hills and is Scotland s highest village at 1531 feet above sea level. The surrounding countryside is spectacular for walking and the Southern Upland Way passes nearby. Numerous recreational activities in the area include golf fishing pony trekking cycling and even gold-panning! Easy day trips can be enjoyed to Dumfries and Moffat or to Glasgow or Edinburgh both an hours drive. The lead-mining museum across from the cottage with coffee shop is also a popular attraction. The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: 1 king-size. Shower room: with WC. Lounge/diner: with woodburner TV and DVD. Kitchen: leading off the lounge/diner with cooker microwave fridge and freezer. Outside: garden with patio area furniture and BBQ. Amenities: parking opposite the cottage. Bed linen towels electric and solid fuel for central heating included. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome. Location: pub within village shop 1 mile. Arrival: 4pm
