PICTURESQUE COUNTRY HOUSE IN A PRIME LOCATION FOR EXPLORING DARTMOOR SLEEPS 8 1 Standing in its own grounds the house is a short walk away from the family 500 acre cattle and sheep farm. The property is an ideal base for exploring the picturesque villages and rugged scenery of Dartmoor. Take an organised tour on the moor to visit the film locations for the recent box office film War Horse as well as the dramatic Cornish coastline. Roadford Lake nearby is another beautiful area for walking or why not discover the other nearby attractions including Lydford Gorge Two Bridges Widecombe in the Moor Castle Drogo Buckland Abbey as well as many National Trust properties. Cycle hire is available in Okehampton with the bikes being delivered to your door if required. The larger regional centres of Plymouth Exeter and Torbay are also nearby which offer theatres shops restaurants cinemas and indoor swimming pools. Plymouth also has an ice rink and a dry ski slope. Farm activities: you are welcome to see the animals including horses cattle sheep and chickens. Guests are welcome to take a short stroll through the lane on the farmland and watch the wildlife around the lakes. Games room: in the property with darts table skittles and pool table.
