'At the Beach' is a striking development of luxury apartments and cottages on the very edge of the sea at Slapton Sands. The development is the transformation of the former 'Torcross Hotel', a prominent and well known local landmark built in the late 1800's. Many of the hotel's original features have been retained and enhanced resulting in a stunning combination of Victorian elegance and modern day luxury. Torcross is situated at the end of a strip of land separating the Slapton Ley, a unique freshwater lake, and Start Bay. It boasts all amenities with a well stocked village shop and post office, local butcher, beach side tea shop and 'Start Bay Inn' which is renowned for its local fish dishes.
