If you want comfortable, well-equipped accommodation with country chocolate-box charm, then look no further than this detached thatched cottage, which dates back to the 1840s, whose nooks and crannies are stuffed with unusual, quirky objects; will you spot the fiddle in the kitchen or the globe in one of the bedrooms? The living area, which has a slate floor, is open plan and welcoming, and includes a woodburner and piano, as well as a kitchen and dining area. There is a wet room on the ground floor, and another wet room in the outside utility area. Downstairs are two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, while upstairs is a further double bedroom which is accessed by and open to the cosy mezzanine sitting area, a perfect spot for losing yourself in a good book. The lawned garden enjoys views towards Lough Derg and the River Shannon.
