Bracken Howe Description
Bracken Howe enjoys the most glorious views from Grisedale Pike to the Skiddaw range, with glimpses of Bassenthwaite Lake from its elevated position in the village of Portinscale. This semi detached house has views from most rooms and was completely renovated and refurbished in 2009 to an extremely high standard. The level of facilities and equippment and the quality of furnishings will appeal to the most discering guests. Portinscale lies on the northern edge of Derwentwater. It has a pub, restaurants, tea room and 2 marinas and is within walking distance of Keswick, which has a wealth of amenities and tourist attractions. There are fabulous walks on the fells around Portinscale, mountain bike trails in Whinlatter forest and sailing on Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lakes. The more adventurous may try paragliding or rock climbing. The view point for the famous Bassenthwaite Ospreys is within 3 miles of Bracken Howe.
