Branwell Description
Branwell details
Branwell is an 18th century listed stone weaver's holiday cottage set in an attractive courtyard off Haworth Main Street. Rich in literary associations, the cottage is named after the Brontes' brother and is adjacent to the Masonic Lodge he attended. The cottage is an ideal base for moorland walks and a path from the sisters' nearby parsonage home takes you to the ruins of Top Withens, Emily's 'Wuthering Heights'.
A short drive away are Hebden Bridge, Bolton Abbey and the World Heritage Site of Saltaire with its vibrant Hockney Gallery and Cafes. For steam enthusiasts, the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway stops at Haworth. Haworth has a good selection of antique and speciality shops, good restaurants, traditional cafes and historic pubs.
