Burnside Description

Quietly tucked away and accessed via a little footbridge over a beck, Burnside is a cottage recently transformed and architecturally designed by the owners daughter and provides contemporary, eco friendly and welcoming accommodation perfect for two. The cottage has been completely redesigned with a spacious open plan living space at first floor level taking in the views across to Fremington Edge. The cottage is heated by comfortable underfloor heating, with solar panels for hot water and an efficient wood burner provides the lounge area with a toasty spot to warm the toes after a day out and about. Burnside is the perfect choice for couples requiring a base from which to explore the area with the ever popular Bridge Inn a two minute walk away serving good food, and Swaledales capital Reeth just under a mile away with tea rooms , restaurants, crafts and shops. Excellent walking through beautiful wildflower meadows and across sheep dotted fields can be accessed from the doorstep. The area is also popular with cyclists who can discover the scenery along the quiet meandering roads and bridleways in the National Park. For those wishing to travel further, Richmond is a short drive away, and the City of York can be accessed in just over an hour.
