Gibson Cottage Description
A charming 18th Century cottage situated in the pretty village of Stainton, ideal for a romantic retreat. Gibson cottage was built in 1720 and oozes character, with beamed ceilings, stone flagged floors and a centrally located open fire which opens into both the lounge and the kitchen. Stainton is only 1 mile from Penrith and the M6, so is easily accessible, yet close to Ullswater and centrally located to explore the Eastern Lakes or visit Scotland and the Eden Valley. Stainton has the benefit of a village shop, a farm shop, a hotel and restaurant and a pub, all within a few yards of the cottage. The Alpaca centre and Rheghed discovery centre are both situated on the edge of the village.
