Goodies Farmhouse Description
Goodies Farmhouse, a glorious 16th century semi detached Elizabethan farmhouse, nestles on a beautiful wooded valley overlooking the Howgill Fells and is simply a most magnificent holiday retreat. The area is delightfully tranquil with wonderful walks and trails straight from the door, Firbank is a mere half-an-hours drive from the major areas of the central Lake District and is also close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, being only minutes away from the market town of Sedbergh. Carefully restored in recent times to a luxurious standard, Goodies Farmhouse exudes a quality feel throughout, the original character features of oak beams, wooden floors and centuries old woodwork being cleverly combined with antique furniture and Liberty fabrics, thoughtfully chosen accessories and personal touches. Fine views of the local fell ranges can be enjoyed from most rooms although much time will be spent in the spacious sun room, with such a fine view it will bring out some creativity in even the most amateur of artists.
