Only 10 minutes from beautiful Coniston Water sits Langholme Mill Cottage near Lowick, a 17th Century former corn mill. Both Coniston, Ulverston and Broughton are within easy reach enabling visitors to explore the fields and fells that are visible from the door of Langholme Mill, enticing visitors to explore the great outdoors. Langholme Mill Cottage is rather special as it has almost an acre of beautiful woodland gardens. Designed around the mill race, the gardens feature interesting displays, ornamental bridges and features slate paths, as well as well established rhododendrons, hostas and aces providing a mass of vibrant colour. The owners open their garden (by prearranged appointment only) as part of the National Gardens Scheme throughout the summer in aid of nursing, caring and gardening charities.
