Peppard Description
Peppard details
Thatched, and built of stone, Peppard Cottage is a large stylishly refurbished Grade II listed cottage built in Tudor times and retaining inglenook fireplaces and beams. It faces onto the village green with views of the hills. There is a small front garden and an attractive rear garden with garden furniture.
Sydling is rated one of the prettiest small villages in Dorset with thatched cottages, chalk streams, ducks, and a children's play area tucked off the High Street. There is also an award-winning pub, the Greyhound. Sydling is a good base for walking and biking with the Wessex Ridgeway Path running through the village. In addition there are a number of historic houses and gardens nearby to visit, plus golf courses. It is in easy reach of lovely beaches such as Ringstead Bay. Dorchester, seven miles away, has two railway stations and a range of shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets plus a sports centre.
