Quay Cottage Description

A charming 19th century cottage stylishly renovated and situated in the lovely harbour area of the town. A complimentary parking permit provided for nearby car parks.

Situated in the lovely harbour area of Ilfracombe, this charming 19th century terraced cottage is stylishly presented retains many original features. Approached from a private gated lane there are a few steps up to the pretty front terrace and entrance door. The spacious light and bright living/dining room features oak beams, panelled walls and has an attractive brick fireplace housing a coal effect electric fire, ideal for cosy evenings. Having an elevated position it benefits from a great view over the harbour side towards Hillsborough and you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast whilst watching the world go by! The modern well equipped kitchen is fitted in cream with beech worktops and a small breakfast bar. As may be expected in a property of this age the family bathroom is on the ground floor and has a pristine white suite. On the first floor are a beautifully presented double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and an attractive twin bedroom. Ideally located close to the seashore, Quay Cottage is within walking distance of all that this popular resort has to offer, and is a perfect base for exploring the nearby rugged coastal paths and natural beauty of Exmoor National Park.

Accommodation: Ground floor: Living/dining room with coal effect electric fire, TV with Freeview, DVD and stereo. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge. Bathroom with bath with fitted shower over bath, WC, basin and wall safe. First floor: Bedroom 1 with King and ensuite shower room with WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with Twin.

Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. Gas CH. A selection of books, games, CDs and DVDs. Lockable wall safe. Patio furniture. No cot is provided, please bring your own travel cot. Regret no pets. No smoking. A car parking permit is provided for the Cheyne Beach car park March - Oct and The Cove car park Nov - Feb. Short breaks available. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Friday.
