Riverside Cottage Description

Literally just across the river from Snape Maltings and in an unrivalled position Snape is best known as the venue for the Aldeburgh Festival and for other events throughout the year held in the Maltings Concert Hall. However, the pretty village, at the head of the tidal estuary, is a popular holiday venue in its own right and central for exploring the unique area of the Suffolk Heritage Coast - the tidal estuary and network of footpaths are one of the most interesting areas of Suffolk for exploring on foot. There is easy access to the fascinating coastal town of Aldeburgh, plus castles and much more to explore at Framlingham and Orford. The burial treasures at Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge, should not be missed either. Riverside Cottage is a pretty south-facing cottage standing alone, adjacent to the riverside footpath. The cosy interior has been furnished for the owner's use and provides very comfortable accommodation. Overlooking the Maltings and Concert Hall with three pubs all within walking distance. There is excellent walking from the doorstep alongside the tidal estuary. Shop: Interesting speciality shops 150 yards, provisions 1 mile Pub: 3 excellent pubs all close by, one within 150 yards and all serving food. Ground Floor: Kitchen/Dining Room with electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dining table and chairs Sitting Room with TV, DVD player, CD player, piano and French window to garden Stairs from the dining room to first floor landing are steep and winding to First Floor: Bedroom 1 with a double bed and a single bed Bedroom 2 with a single bed Bathroom refurbished, with bath, over-bath electric shower, washbasin and w.c. Garden: Large garden with sheltered sitting areas and furniture. Parking: Ample parking and secure cycle storage. Heating: Night storage heaters. Also Provided: Welcome bottle of wine. Excellent collection of books. Notes: Not recommended for young children since the steep-sided river bank is within 25 yards.
