In the very heart of poetic Gramere, Rowlands is well placed for enjoying superb scenery and wonderful walks in what remains one of the very few traditional villages in the whole of Lakeland. The village is mostly on the level so is ideal for gentle ambles amidst some interesting shops, tea rooms, and outdoor stores. A walk around the lake shore is both manageable and inspiring for all ages, the many pubs and restaurants readily on hand to quench your thirst and satify your hearty appetite.
