The Coach House Description
The Coach House (Shrops) details
The Coach House at Upton Cressett is a beautifully converted former 19th century coach house adjacent to Upton Cressett Hall and winner of Best Hidden Gem at the 2011 Hudson's Heritage Awards.
The property features exposed beams, a large sitting room with high ceilings leading out through French Windows to a private patio, and access to the historic gardens of Upton Cressett.
Upton Cressett is a secluded hamlet deep in the Shropshire countryside, but lies within four and a half miles of historic Bridgnorth and five miles of the small, pretty market town of Much Wenlock. It is accessed by a winding and, in places, steep lane which leads to the Hall. Next to the Hall is the historic Norman church of St Michael with its 12th century wall paintings.
Upton Cressett is a haven of peace and rural beauty - an ideal place to explore the Heart of England, from the gastronomic centre of Ludlow to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, the Shropshire hills and many other historic houses, gardens and nurseries including David Austen Roses.
The Coach House can be taken in conjunction with The Gatehouse (also in our brochure) to provide accommodation for eight guests.
