Situated in the south-west of Ireland, the village of Goleen in County Cork offers four pubs, four shops, a petrol station and a fast food restaurant. This popular holiday spot is just a mile away from the large sandy beach at Barleycove, whilst a little further along is the local visitors centre at Mizen Head. Set against a backdrop of rocks and high cliffs, visitors can enjoy the Signal Station - situated on an island and accessed by an arched bridge – which offers a shop, cafe and exciting exhibitions. Other activities in the area include golf, horse riding, walking, angling, sailing or diving, whilst further a field the market town of Skibbereen is home to a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.
