The village of Hatton is set in the heart of 'Shakespeare country' and makes a quintessentially English base for your holiday. The Grand Union Canal runs through the village, with a well-known set of 21 locks, known as 'the stairway to heaven', a great spot to sit and watch the boats negotiate their way. The village is surrounded by open countryside, offering up a variety of walks and cycling. The town of Leamington Spa has wonderful Georgian and Victorian buildings, while Warwick, with its medieval castle and variety of amenities, makes a great day out. There are plenty of National Trust properties in the area, and the honey coloured villages of the Cotswolds are within easy reach.
