Close to the historic border town of Oswestry lies the peaceful rural hamlet of Hengoed. The wonderful, picturesque region of Shropshire is also home to the famous village of Whittington - birthplace of the first Lord Mayor of London – and the charming town of Ellesmere. This beautiful part of the country is steeped in history – close to Hengoed is the original Old Oswestry, the site of a spectacular Iron Age Hill Fort, whilst Ellesmere is home to the lovely Church of Saint Mary, with its fifteenth century roof.
