Situated between Cruit Island and Innisfree Bay, the village of Kincasslagh is best known as the birthplace of the popular Irish singer, Daniel O'Donnell. With some of the most spectacular coastline in Western Europe, the area surrounding Kincasslagh is packed with wonderful sandy beaches. Visitors can enjoy a round of golf on Cruit Island's nine-hole course or explore the many walking and cycling routes throughout the region. It is also possible to visit the bustling fishing port of Burtonport, catch a ferry to Aranmore Island or discover the historical town of Dungloe. With its spectacular cliff-top views, wild bogs, views of the bay and 130 fishing lakes, this wonderful settlement has something for everybody. Just a short drive away is Glenveagh National Park with over 16,000 hectares to explore including the Derryveagh Mountains.
