On a small hillside on the edge of the Vale of York, quietly nestling between the Hambleton Hills to the east and the Yorkshire Dales to the west, is the peaceful village of Knayton. This lovely village – built around a traditional village green - boasts an excellent local pub and good walking and cycling opportunities through the beautiful surrounding countryside. The market town of Northallerton is just seven miles away and offers excellent shops as well as a weekly market. To the south, Thirsk is just five miles away and also boasts a market square and a maze of quaint alleyways, packed with cosy teashops and lovely little delicatessens. The cathedral cities of York and Ripon are within driving distance, and offer more cosmopolitan activities.
