Set in the Brecon Beacons National Park, the pretty village of Llangattock has narrow cobbled streets, good pubs, a lovely church and a fabulous position next to the River Usk. Just across the river is the quaint town of Crickhowell, which offers a similar range of amenities including bakers, butchers, tea-rooms and gift shops. Walkers will enjoy the Brecon Beacons and the stunning scenery they provide throughout the year - from wonderful spring flowers to falling autumn leaves and winter snow. Other activities in the area include pony trekking or rides on the local Brecon Steam Railway, whilst for those interested in history the Pit and Ironworks Museums as close by, as are a number of strategic castles and tranquil abbeys.
