The little hamlet of Lower Wood is situated between the beautiful Long Mynd Hills and the Caradoc and Lawley Hills, just two miles from the market town of Church Stretton. This pretty little settlement is often described as "Little Switzerland" and is set amid striking scenery. Visitors can enjoy a variety of tea-rooms, pubs, specialist shops as well as a large antique centre and a challenging golf course on the top of the Long Mynd. More of the many local attractions include scenic walks, the Acton Scott Working Farm, Attingham House and Park and Stokesay Castle.
