Situated in the south of the Lake District National Park and just a few miles from the coastal estuary is the small hamlet of Meathop. Positioned in a quiet and peaceful area and occupying a rural location on the path of the Cumbrian Coastal Way, the village is close to Lindale on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell.
