Located just four miles south of Salisbury, the villages of Nunton, Odstock and Bodenham are situated on the banks of the River Ebble, well known for its watercress beds and trout farms. Also within easy reach of the River Avon - one of the best fishing rivers in England - this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is packed with interesting walks that lead between picturesque thatched villages. For something a little more cosmopolitan, the medieval city of Salisbury provides visitors with a wealth of attractions, one of which is its cathedral, boasting the tallest spire in the country and a tranquil cathedral close, bordered by magnificent historic houses. Visitors can explore the variety of interesting shops on offer, or browse stalls of the twice weekly market. Wilton House is just a short drive away, as is the enigmatic monument of Stonehenge. Alternatively, a visit to nearby New Forest National Park is very worthwhile.
