Located between the Blackdown Hills and the Somerset Levels, the village of Shepton Beauchamp is ideally placed as a base to see this stunning region, which has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has several shops and a public house, and the National Cycle Route runs by the village so cyclists can explore the area on two wheels. There are National Trust properties nearby including Barrington Court and Montacute House, and a visit to Perry’s Cider mill is highly recommended. The world famous attraction of Cheddar Gorge is less than an hour’s drive away and the seaside town of Lyme Regis is also easily accessible. With so many attractions and activities to choose from, this area is a wonderful holiday destination.
