Situated just one mile from the famous Offa's Dyke Pathway, the small hamlet of Walton is home to the delightful Walton Court Farm and a welcoming village pub. Also within a mile is the beautiful Radnor Forest which offers excellent cycling and rambling opportunities. Slightly further away is the pleasant town of Kington – a renowned place amongst walkers, due to its setting and the pretty rolling hills of The Marches. There are also a number of good shops, pubs and restaurants in the town itself. The Mortimer Trail and walks to Hergest Ridge provide visitors to the region with the chance to see the inspiration for music by Elgar and Mike Oldfield whilst the market town of Hay-on-Wye – often called the ‘town of books’ is within easy driving distance. Hereford too is not far and offers an impressive Norman cathedral and the famous Mappa Mundi.
